On the Radio
Ok, I don't have time to look up bands right now to write bios, but I do have time to turn on my radio. So I am going to post the first 3 to 5 songs that come on the radio.
(I am listening to Sunny 92.3 in Chattanooga, Tennessee)
So take these broken wings and learn to fly again, learn to live so free, when we hear the voices sing, the book of love will open up and let us in!
We're young enough to say this is gunna be a good life, this could really be a good life, a good good life.
If I ever catch up with you I'm gunna love you for the rest of my life.
All I need is a miracle, all I need is you!
Good Time
We don't even have to try, it's always a good time.
Lets hang out if you're down to get down tonight.
Night Moves
In the summer time, in the sweet summer time,
Trying to loose the awkward teenage blues.
(Band/artist titles found in tags, sorry)
Labels:
92.3,
all i need is a miracle,
blondie,
bob seger,
carly rae jepsen,
chattanooga,
good life,
good time,
heart of glass,
mr. mister,
night moves,
on the radio,
one republic,
owl city,

Midnight Runners- Come On Eileen
Since today's post had only one song, I'm going to post a few more, although each will get their own post, I won't do too many more today.
I love this song so much! It's very interesting and unique, I could listen to it all day :D
What do you think of it?
Soon I will start finding bios of bands/artists and post them here, as well as their top songs.
I can't wait to learn more about the bands I love and I hope you get to learn something too.
Linkin Park- Burn it Down
I first listened to this song on Nintendo Video on my 3DS a few months ago, and it is my favorite Linkin Park song. I haven't heard many other Linkin Park songs, so If you have any suggestions leave a comment.
Sorry its not much of a post today, I am working on lots of other things at the moment, but thanks for reading it :)

John Mayer
Another artist I grew up listening to? John Mayer! He is one of my favorite singers and created a few of my favorite songs. Here are my top favorites, I hope you enjoy them!
No Such Thing
This song I really loved as a child, and obviously I still do.
My favorite line was "I wanna run through the halls of my highschool, I wanna scream at the top of my lungs!"
Now, I could not choose my favorite line, I love it all.
Waiting on the World to Change
Your Body's a Wonderland
Is it wrong that I knew every word when I was little? XD I love this song
"I'll never let your head hit the bed, without my hand behind it."
Yes, there are more, but I'll save them for a different post :)

Sounds for Your Soul Playlist
I know I have shared a playlist on here, or a link to one, but that one does not include all the songs shared on this blog. I have decided to make a playlist on Youtube just for the music found on this blog.
Click here to go to my channel
As I post more songs, I will add more to the list!

My friend, Lissa, suggested it, so now I shall share some songs!
Suzy

Rock It For Me
These are the only ones I have listened to yet, but I plan on listening to more! They just make me want to dance!

Slightly Spiritual
I'm not religious, and even though these songs hint to religion or God, I still love them and know every word! Even if you do not believe in what these songs mean, you can still listen to them and enjoy. They represent love and such too :3
How Far is Heaven- Los Lonely Boys
Arms Wide Open- Creed
I Can Only Imagine- MercyMe
Any you would like to add? Tell me in the comments below and I might add them to this post!

Nickelback
So I have heard Nickelback getting a lot of hate, but I really don't care I really like their music. Here are my favorites!
How You Remind Me
"These five words in my head scream are we having fun yet?"
"Never made as a wise man, couldn't cut it as a poor man stealin and this is how you remind me of what I really am, this is how you remind me of what I really am!"
Photograph
"Every memory of walking out the front door,
had a photo of the friend that I was looking for"
"We used to listen to the radio, sing along with every song we knew, we said someday we'd find out how it feels, to sing to more than just the steering wheel."
Someday
"Someday, somehow, we're gunna make it all right but not right now"
"Let's rewrite an ending that fits"
Far Away
"You know that I love you, and I have loved you all along"
"Been far away for far too long"
"Hold on to me, never let me go"
Ok, and here is a song I found just now, I have never heard it before but I like it ;)

Smooth
I found this video yesterday called Smooth: The TV Show with Matchbox 20 staring Matchbox Twenty!
It's super funny and about the song Smooth (Santana, featuring Rob Thomas)
First though, you should listen to the song if you have never heard it so that you understand the video:
Click here to watch Smooth: The TV Show with Matchbox 20
Tell me what you think about it :D

Matchbox Twenty
For my first (real) post on my new blog, I think it is appropriate to talk about my favorite band of all time, Matchbox Twenty.
There are so many reasons why I love Matchbox Twenty. First of all, I grew up listening to them, the three I remember the most being Unwell, 3AM and If You're Gone.
Another reason: [Most] of their songs have many meanings so almost everybody can find some way to relate.
If you have never heard these songs, I suggest listening to them without the music videos so you can pay attention to the words and meanings, then, by all means, enjoy these amazing videos!
Unwell
The first memory I have of this song is when I was about three or four. I had it stuck in my head, it was past my bed time and I was just sitting in my room. I remember these lines:
"All day, stairing at the ceiling making friends with shadows on my wall, and all night, hearing voices tellin me that I should get some sleep, cause tomorrow might be good, for something"
"Talking to myself in public, dodging glances on the train. And I know, I know they've all been talking bout me, I can hear them whisper, and it makes me think there must be something wrong with me"
"But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell."
After that, I heard it on the radio quite a bit. A few years after discovering Youtube, I decided to look up this song. I first found the lyric version and read every word. It actually made me cry. My brother has autism, you see, and every word of this song reminded me of him, and after that, I have been able to understand him a lot better. Yes, we still fight, but sometimes I can just think about this song and know a little bit how he feels.
3AM
My second favorite song of all time is 3AM. Recently, I found out that this song was writen about when Rob Thomas's mother had cancer and he was 12 or 13 years old.
This song is also good in many different versions, if you want, you should go look them up: Tabitha's Secret, acoustic and Kyle Cook.
"And she says baby, its 3am, I must be lonely."
"The rain's gunna wash away, I belive this."
"The clock on the wall has been stuck at 3 day and days"
"But outside it stopped raining"
If You're Gone
This song, I remember hearing on the radio frequently when I was younger, in fact, I still hear it on the radio today! I like everything about this song, how it sounds, the words, everything.
My favorite parts are "I bet my hands I can stay here, I bet you need more than you mind"
and the end, the last time he says "It's a little bit of something in me, and everything... in you"
It's so beautiful!
English Town
I found this song only a couple months after it came out in September of last year. I love how it starts out slow and mysterious:
"Come inside the air I breath, while the band still plays, it's the end, of the coldest week, come down into the sea"
And then it BURSTS into life with
"When the sun breaks over the edge of an English town, it pulls me away from a bad dream and I dont know why, but I know I'm not ever going back."
I was/am very impressed by all the songs on North (their latest album), so I am going to share a few more highlights from there.
Put Your Hands Up
Warning: Watch the video at your own risk! I really didn't like the video, except for the second where it shows a TV with a shot from Unwell on it.
Other than that, this song is great!
"And don't you ever fade away, yeah"
Like Sugar
This is my little sister's favorite song from the album!
Those are just a few songs to get you started, I will post more Matchbox Twenty later, but in the mean time I will share lots of other bands :)

Nice to meet you!
Welcome to my new blog! I am Amberthest (my other blog is Amberthest's Tree)
I didn't want to fill my other blog about music since it is mainly about writing.
Here I will post about songs I like and all kinds of stuff.
Also, since I am a writer, I have written a few songs which my friend is helping me with writing music for. Those will be posted here eventually.
Please feel free to comment with songs and/or bands and artists that you like!
